The Great pyramid is an ancient Egyptian complex built for the king Khufu of Ancient Egypt. It is just one of the wonders of the ancient world. It is full of mysteries inside it's walls. At an appropriate time, the pyramid was to be filled with the king's treasures, which attracted many grave-robbers. Because of this reason, only a fraction of the stunning, priceless artifacts of the past remain inside this ridiculously tall and wide structure.
Next to the great pyramid the boat taking the dead king up the Nile to his resting place was placed in the ground. There were also three pyramids called the Queen's pyramids. They were built for the kings most important wives. Inside the great pyramid there is a grand gallery, a Queen's chamber, and, finally, a chamber for the king himself; the King's chamber.
The Great pyramid was built out of limestone blocks, some weighing massive amounts.
